Donald Purkiss & Associates LLP are chartered architects
and are registered with the Royal Institute of British Architects
(RIBA). The practice was established in Saffron Walden in 1956
by Donald Purkiss and has offices located in the town centre.
The practice continues its long established experience
with projects involving listed buildings. In more recent times,
it has also established itself for projects with a more contemporary
design. Generally the projects range from small scale residential
extensions to developments in excess of £1 million in construction
Whilst the majority of the practice’s work
is in the residential sector, we also have experience in barn
conversions, offices, village halls and the refurbishment of Saffron
Walden Town Hall.
Our projects are largely located in the Saffron Walden area and
the surrounding villages, extending into Cambridgeshire, Suffolk,
Hertfordshire and Essex, out as far as the east coast. We have
also undertaken projects further afield, including the North Norfolk
coast and Devon.
